Cat Snopro Skid

The snopro fox float suspension I find works pretty good on the new cats. The only place I experience bottoming is on the front shock in the skid frame. It bottoms often on whooped out trails heading up and down the mountain when hammering on it. Has anybody changed out that shock with a fox float? If so what did you put in to replace it? Standard float, float 2, evo? What were your results?

I just got all four of mine back from Andy Youngman at

http://gasshockrepair.com/

He removes the little restrictor that Cat puts in the floats, revalves and servcies the shocks. The total bill with return shipping was $130. I have heard a lot of good things about the work he does on shocks.

I also plan to put the Fett brother's canisters on each of my Floats to make them even better.

Best of luck

I have had no problems with bottoms my front skid shock of my 08 M1000, but you may want to consider having it revalved. If you are going to replace it with another float, I would suggest matching as close as possible to the rest of the shocks your sled.

http://www.shock-tech.com/index.htm Check this guy out, he will custom build a float for the front of your skid.
