Carry guns..

Any body get weird responses when they see your carrying a gun? So far I've just get the "Why do you have a gun, I cant believe your carrying a gun (at this point i start explain then..) Oh my god its LOADED too!) i just laugh....

My guns are always loaded. No one plays with a loaded gun. It's when a kid says "don't worry, my dad always unloads his gun" that tragedies happen. And yes, I do get asked why I carry a gun in my truck. If for no other reason, there are hundreds of deer & elk hit on the roads every year and I hate to see them suffer.

Be careful who you tell about putting animals out of their misery.. Here in Utah it is against the law for you to put an animal out of its misery.. You have to get a sheriff to come do it.. Not that I haven't or wont continue to do so, you just don't want to get caught..

I think they should teach gun safety in schools. I understand not everyone likes or ever gives a rats butt about them but that doesn't mean you shouldn't atleast know about them. They teach sex ed in schools whats the difference. I actually think teachin gun safety makes more sense than sex ed. Accidents often happen from uneducated people handling guns. Those that don't give a rip about guns still won't but atleast they will have a better idea about them if they ever encounter one. Same with sex ed, i'm sure not everyone they teach it to is having sex but atleast they will have a better idea of the concequence when they do.

In second grade we had a Thanksgiving Day play. All us little pilgrims showed up with .22's since no one had toy guns. Bus drivers checked to make sure they were unloaded and away we went. Now days we would be in juvie and our parents in jail!

Absolutly firearm safety should be taught in schools, its always people who are unfamiliar with a firearm who have the accidents. I took my hunter safety course twice, I passed the first course with a 98% on the final, but was too young, so I took it again and aced it. I'm only 16, but I shoot all the time, but where we live, we can, and all of my friends have tons of experience with firearms, and guess what, no stupid accidents so far(knock on wood). I shoot trap, and talk firearms with almost all of my teachers, its the ones that don't know anything that scare me!

Oh, sorry, its only my second year, whats the difference between ATA or PITA? I don't really know, its a local league in the Flathead valley, dad gave me an old shotgun and told me to come shoot with the rest of them, I don't take it seriously but its fun going out and whooping up on some of the older guys who give me a hard time!

I'm not sure what you mean by carry a gun?

1. Handgun strapped to your waist in full view?

2. Rifle/shotgun in vehicle maybe in rack?

3. Concealed handgun on your person?

4. Concealed handgun in your vehicle?

5. Legally or illegally?
