carls mod on powder hounds?

Has anyone tried cutting the slydog powder hounds carls style?? I am not really happy with them and though I might give it a whirl just wondering if anyone has done it

I have cut my PowderHounds and they work great. Cut 1" off outside edges spindle bolts to tails, likely will cut some more off.
