Carl's Cycle Ski Mod on Stock M Series Skis looks super easy to do. Anyone Try it?

I have the stock skis from my 09 M8 sitting in the corner of my shop. I just did the Carl's cycle mod on my new Powder Pros and I looked at the stock M8 skis and I think it would be very easy (much easier than the Powder Pros) to mod these skis with the Carl's Cycle modification.

Has anyone modified and tested the stock skis yet?

I'm more than willing to give it whirl if not.

Yet, I'm not really into taking skis on and off too often.

Maybe one of you would like to try it?

It removes a portion of the ski behind the spindle on the outside of each ski to make them eaiser to sidehill and handle in the deep stuff.

I think they would float good enough for it to help in the pow but it might help on setup snow, getting the keel closer to the snow.

Has anyone done the Carl's Mod yet to the stock M ski's and if so, how did they work out? Thanks
