Carls 900 Clutching, Who's Changed Theirs?

Just a thought to see who may be playing with their set up from Carls. I'm pulling good RPM, but I can't help but think theres still some left on the table with their clutch set up. What, if anything has anyone changed on theirs and with what results?

You can't ask what clutching other builders are using ;) clutching is a black art no one wants to give up there secrets. Lol

So currently the primary has
68gr BellyBuster weights
L Green Team spring

Secondary has
Gold/black team spring
the helix is unknown at this time since I haven't pulled it to check exact specs. That's why I was asking what others with 900 kits have tried so that would know if there has been others with any improvements.

The other builders holding their clutching as secrets is as gay as a bag of dicks. If it works, I share so that others are able to enjoy the true potential of their builds.

Tell me your Carl's clutch setup and I will tell you my Carl's clutch setup, lol

Clutching for my 910

Primary
100/340 spring
65.2 grams using Tri city Polaris pro weights

Secondary
Black purple spring
73-59 in my tied

Pulls great, best tree setup I have found for my motor.

We have run that same setup in stock sleds just less weight obviously. Their kit has the best back shifting I've ever tried, even better than a tied setup I've heard. The only thing I changed on my 900 was I went to a black silver in the secondary I believe. Just because I was pulling a 3 inch track. You really can't beat carls clutching in my opinion. I didn't wreck a single belt on my 900 last year(1200+ miles) on my stock 14 I've wreck 3 in 800 miles so that says something

I ran Carl's Sec. setup back to back against a Tied and they were very close. I still feel the TIED had quicker response.

**Edit:

To be clear, the gold/black and 60-40/42-40 is what i had in my 800 not a 9/910.

I put in a TIED with red/black and 73-55/57-.46.

6-8k elevation and 2.25 PC track.

Thanks for some actuall numbers fellas. I just think that I should be seeing higher track speeds than what I'm seeing along with a little cooler running clutches. I want to load the primary a little heavier off the start and try a little more spring pressure in the secondary, but like it's been mentioned, it's very smooth shifting right now.
Kcjepperson, what do you see for track speeds out of your 910 in good snow conditions?

I don't have a speedo so I am not exactly sure. I went to Fairview at 10,000, And was tuning and clutching with Ben from Tri City Polaris (gone now) works in moto frugals in Orem now. But I was running with him dead even at the top end with his MTntk turbo at 63 mph track speed up the race hill by the parking lot. There wasn't much snow though. It's still a considerable difference in the deep stuff from a lightly modded 800 (clutching and can). That's usually who I am riding with and they can't keep up so I never really have any idea.

I went back and forth this year from the tied to the tss04. I think I got a little better pull out of the 04 but the tied has much better throttle response and that is want I want when I am in the trees. I am sticking with the tied for now on

So far with two trips in the mountains I see 45-48 mph (uphill pulls in deep snow) with both Carl's setup and the tied. Stock gearing and 8t drivers I think with the PC track (from Carl's).

I think that is about average for an 800? If I recall my twin piped '03 162" would pull 45 on the same hills with tied.

That's roughly the same as what I'm seeing. So that being the case, shouldn't 100cc more, even if geared more toward the bottome end torque see better than stock top speeds? Maybe I'm all wet in my thought process, but it just seems odd to me.
