Carlisle Ultimax XS809

Heard some guys are using these belts with good luck. What modifications are necessary to use this belt and is it a stock replacement situation?

Thanks

After blowing 2 cat belts in 200 miles I switched to XS809. I have 300 miles on it, and it appears to be holding up very well. I also went with a Cutler torsional helix kit at the same time so a can't say if the belt is better or if the belt is no longer slipping on the secondary.
I shimmed the belt to be a little loose as well. Not the perfect set up but it's workin

I had also gone through two Cat belts in the first two hundred miles. XS809 now has 650 miles on it - and still looks great. Only thing you have to do is set your belt deflection as this belt is about a half inch longer than the Cat belt.
I have also sealed up the left side panel so no snow gets in - this is also a large part of the belt heat/slippage problem. She's working awesome now.

still using these belts?
were you able to get the deflection set with the stock washers that come in the tool pouch?

looking for feedback on this belt.

i bought one last year and have not rode with it yet

put it in the other day and started sled, the sled is trying to run away from me , i added more washers to the secondary but still to much creeping, its rolling...

any tips

I am using the 809 with good results. My c to c is a bit long, so stock belt got pulled in half. I do think that the 809 is a bit to long whichs hurts max track speed. I will now start back to back testing with the 809 and EVO belt.

Remove washers to increase belt deflection.

It's not how many you can add it is the thickness of the washers
Thicker you make the stack the tighter(Decrease) is Belt deflection

C to C on my turbo is about 11.6 so I run the XS809. Works better than Cat belts! Cooler and longer lasting. I would like to try the Dayco XTX5037 or 5020 for comparison as they are similar length, but slightly shorter.
