Carburetor problems...need advice.

Get it figured out MPS?.

I've had the same symptoms with older machines, ended up being the float valve and seat, which looked to be in good shape. Switched out with new hardware and was back to the races.

I guess that could still be the problem...I tore the carbs down and when I reassembled them I didn't make sure the float valves and seats went back into the same carbs they were pulled from...now the other carb is dumping out fuel...and acts like it is gurgling fuel. But the side where I replaced the piston is still not firing....that side has a mist come out when the plug is out. Like I said the compression is good on both sides....right around 60 psi on both sides and there is spark on both. I am completely baffled and frustrated! Just want my son to ride!

Just in case... Is this carb on the cylinder where the fuel pump pulse hose hooks to the crankcase ? A fuel pump diaphram might be bad and it is sucking fuel into the crankcase and spitting it out the carb when cranked over ?

Just a thought

That has to be the problem Gimpster! I just replaced the float valves and seats....damn Polaris is a rip off!! I replaced them and the sympton continues. That is the side where the pulse hose hooks to the crankcase. I am going to get the fuel pump diaphram now.

If you pull the pulse hose off and it is wet inside... definately fuel pump problem

Yup I pulled the fuel pump off and one of the diaphrams (on the pulse hose side) had a tear in it. I used the rebuild kit on it. Got that all together....and that side is firing, but I think it is badly flooded and can't keep it going....but that side is finally firing!

Does anyone have a diagram of a Polaris fuel pump? Just worried I didn't put it together right.

Oh ya, I was gonna ask you Gimpster does ND have issues with plowing their highways!? Damn! LOL I was driving back from SD after pheasant hunting after a big snow storm on Nov 4th and I had to drive on the left side of the highway for miles because it wasn't plowed. The highway had a one way track through it. haha
