Carbides installation question

So I ordered some new carbides for my sled, my question how are they supposed to fit? Never intalled new ones before so not quite sure. When I put the curved end through the front hole it seems really tight when I try to get the bolts through the ski. Are they supposed to be very challenging? Or might I have the wrong carbides? The bolts all align up with the ski just the angle is off.

Yes, they fit tight. Insert the front of the skag into the hole in your ski. Then wrestle the studs into the bolt holes in your ski as best you can. Then you can beat it in with a rubber mallet/dead blow. Once the studs start to protrude through the ski, tighten the nuts progressively/alternating (a little bit on each, going back and forth) working down the ski, sucking in the skag/carbide. Don't over-tighten the bolts, as the studs can break off. Good luck
