Carberator fuel question

Nothing as far as carberation has changed in a few years but all of a sudden I'm rich on the needle and the needles are new last year with very little time on them. I think I messed with air screws last year but even then it ran fine.

In short Rich on the bottom and once it's cleaned out runs like a raped ape.

Any ideas?

Float level changed because of dirty needle/seat? Any change in fuel level will affect the mixture to some extent. Float bowl vents plugged?

Are you sure you got the same needles that were in the sled? they make TONS of different needles, so you can make it leaner or richer in teh middle. the have numbers stamed on them. Your reeds wont effect jetting at all. your reeds will kill your bottom end if they are chipped or damaged in any way at all.
Carb jetting works like this.

0 - 1/4 throttle is your air screw
1/4 - 1/2 is your pilot jet
1/2 - 3/4 is your needle
3/4 - Full is your main jet
