Carb to efi????

just curious what exactly would i need to go from carb to efi??? im sure it would just be best to buy an efi motor

If you are talking about your 900, you would need quite a bit of stuff. The crankcase is different for starters. On the EFI case it has a separate housing for the stater and flywheel. It uses a larger diameter flywheel which won't fit in the carb case. All the electrical stuff is different as well. The magneto end on the crankshaft is larger too.

I have a complete 03 800 EFI engine if you wanted to swap the whole works. I have everything except a fuel pump for it. Would be interested in your 900 basket case on trade.

Idcatman1.. how many miles on the motor and how much were you thinkin on the price and i just got my new top end yesterday and i have heard of ppl running 800 bottom and 900 top can this be done and what roughly does it consist of thanks

ya , i basically bought a wrecked sled from powerhouse utah, and he shipped me what i needed, complete motor, with throttle bodies, ecu, wiring harness.y pipe and fuel tank are all different, swappedit all over and it runs excellent

he kept everything else, but i think it was $2000.00 , but i sold my old carbed stuff for the same so basically i was out the freight

just put in an offer on some case halfs so if i get them ill stick with the carbed but if not im thinkin im gonna spend the money and go efi will know with in a day or 2 and i also found that my helix is broken damn sled is fallin apart lol

just got one at the dealer today 20 bucks and a stock pipe for 50 bucks pretty good dealer
