Here in Cali this is the second generation of those cans, believe it or not the first ones were much much worse, they had a weird spout you had to push in the tank to make it turn on, they poured slow and sprayed fuel when you bumped them, they didn't fit in any car i've ever owned, and it was impossible to put a hose on the end to make them work right, you'd have to carry a funnel along with them
The new ones with the switch lever suck but are easy modify, you just need to snap off the safety toggle switch, and then you can put a hose on the end, now you have a can with an on/off switch that's easy to operate with a long spout and doesn't have any safety crap.
I'm frustrated with Blitz though, I used to be able to get the old style gas cans in Nevada, now they only make one type of can for all 50 states.
Another awful California thing, Downey Offroad (RIP) used to make long range gas tanks for trucks, they were headquartered in CA but weren't allowed to sell them in California.....only to the other 49 states.
Now they're out of business, no wonder we have some of the highest unemployment numbers...
