Ditto, I rode kick start bikes for lots of years, with EFI its no big deal. I still have my 2011 YZ as a backup, injected kicker still works great.

Same experience.I've seen a guy start a 2014 yz450 with his hand. And It still ran great so it had good compression. His claim was to not waist many calories on the kick, just be smooth and full stroke.
Sounds like a decent setup.I found a 2014 500 xcw with a 2017 dts129, average hours.
Priced at 9k
I was looking at the gear ratios, 1, 2 and 3 are spaced close with the bigger gap to 4th.
The camso is supposed to have the upgrades. I guess they had brake issues?
Any thoughts on this combo?
I think as a beginner old guy the 500 could be a good first snowbike.
I way 200 with gear and ride high altitude deep powder in Colorado
Looks like its probably worth closer to 8k, the bike should be around 5000.00
And that kit is not the most desirable, probably worth 3000.00
Thanks for the feedback.I'd pass on any Camso pre 2019 and I've had 4 Camso kits. After 2019 they are very reliable and work very well for what they cost. The brake issue was corrected for good in 2020 as it has the exact same brake parts as the Yeti. In 2019 the brake received a plastic snow shield which was prone to breaking, but the brakes are still better than the 17 or 18. In 2019 the rising rate cam appeared on the suspension which helps it a lot. The tunnel re-enforcement plates appeared in 2019 for good and cured the side panel cracking problem. Camso warrantied the cracked side panels but I'm sure that ship has sailed. In 2019 the Camso track got a stiffer durometer, they changed it when the Yeti got the same track. All of this info was or is available on Camso's website. For reference I listed my 2011 YZ450F with a full GYTR CNC head and race cams full accessories with a 2019 Camso last spring for $8900.00 CDN which is $7k USD at todays rate. I still have it as a backup but I'm inclined to keep it as there's no way I can replace it for that. If my snow check Yeti actually shows up I will have a Camso for sale. I've never seen a Camso end a riding day but I've seen lots of days ended on broken Yetis. It was never a money thing for me and the Camso it was just that the Yetis were so unreliable. Hopefully not anymore or I will sell it and go back to the Camso.
