Car shipping companies

Does anyone have any PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with a nationwide car shipping company that was RELIABLE and fairly FAST with their service?

I need a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer hauled from "nowhere" Oregon (small town, way off the beaten path) to Quantico, VA. I put a deposit down with USA Auto Transport, and the car was ready for pickup April 13. Guess what? After they took my $170 deposit, i haven't heard A SINGLE WORD FROM THEM! Supposed to be point-to-point, and they REFUSED to let the vehicle be moved closer to I-5 so it would be easier for them to pick it up.

Have called, emailed, and faxed them trying to get them to contact back...nothing. Credit card company is getting called tomorrow to get my money back.

So, now I'm looking for a new company with a good reputation that someone has actually used.

Anyone shipped a car cross-country?

ive got tons of experience shipping vehicles all over the country and a few out of the country. problem is, my connection doesnt really go out west. however, i have no doubt that he can get someone that he knows to do it for you..

give me the city it will need to be picked up in and ill call him in the morning.. if that doesnt work, i had a guy pick up a car not to long ago that his comapny was out of wyoming, might be an option also but, he was an enclosed carrier and that would cost more..

call a broker. that is you best bet. bestways in spanaway washington is a good one.

I personally wouldnt use a broker. they tell you the can get it done for a certain price, take yor money and all they do is try to find someone to actually move the vehicle which, most the time, with a broker takes awhile..

Call the Portland auto auction, I'm sure they could hook you up with a reputable shipper: (503) 286-3000
