Cant wait to ride the new TURBO!!

What clutching do you do for that elevation? I live in fargo, ND and ride in cooke city, island park and big horns. What weights are guys running

if you mean clutching with a turbo, it doesnt matter what elevation you are at it will be the same.

I was given this setup to run by Dustin at Outlaw, and everything ran perfectly yesterday when I went out, so it seems perfect so far.

Weights -

4.6g toe
3.6g center and heel

Spring 2 and 6 = 80 degrees

I will get some feedback when i can finally ride. Were heading out west sometime in december which will probably be my first ride. I guess I'm a lil confused on the clutching. like 2 stroke sled alot of the time you just change the weights. what do i all change on the Nytro or dont i?

is your sled boosted? if its stock i believe you can leave the secondary alone, and just change weights (or just take out all the rivets in the stock weights), and put in a different primary spring.

BAAssault;
The nytro was new to me last year as well, and clutching is a little different then the old 2 stroke. The Yamaha weights in the nytro are adjustable. Each weight has three holes in it, one in the heel, middle, and toe. Instead of buying new weights you can change the overall weight by buying different rivets to put in the holes. Hope that helps I little. I'm still trying to figure out what the rollers do besides just changing engagement.

With to turbo will need to throw more weight at it. I just went with MPI recommended setup for weight and increased tension in the secondary like adair did holes 2-6.

I have a s/c nytro with the 174 ezryde and it's amazing the skis finally stay close to the ground now before was just wheelie after wheelie and it soaks up the bumps like no other

I went on my first little cruise tonight in the ditch. i live in fargo,ND and were about 900' "not very high" but anyway my rpm's were at 9100 which is the soft rev limiter. what is a good clutching setup for around here and out west. loking to get this figured fast cause im heading westbound soon.

thanks

did you change your clutching from stock?, was there traction, flat out on a hard trail or in minimal snow where you cant get traction I wouldnt worry too much about running a little high. Not familiar with this kit but doesnt seem to change boost for elevation, if so it will fall off with elevation and you should get clutching for elevation. to drop a little rpm try softening the secondary spring a hole, then you can look at the spring in the primary. look at the colors, there is a chart that will tell you what you have and you can make minor changes to rpm with springs. compared to weights and rollers this is a much less expensive way to fine tune it. Plus if your kit doesnt change for elevation it is easier to change a spring set up. **key, minor changes** if your weights are not right this wont work.

I pulled my clutch apart the other day and the guy before me changed a bunch of stuff. Both springs are different and i was told to tun the stock springs but change my weights. The day i was riding it was very minimal snow and fresh i just wanted to test it out.
