It won't show up on your own page. When you click on another user, you will see the "Start Conversation" button.

Tried that and everything else. I think its a software issue.

Ok. Some changes were just made to private messages (conversations), that affect newer users. This could be a result of that or not. @christopher will have to confirm that.
