Can't get my sled started, no spark or nothing!

Trying to start the sled yesterday to run the rest of the gas out of the engine so I can put my big tank and heads on.

I can't get the damn thing started. I have had it started about 5 times since saturday, and now nothing. Usually when I pull it over I at least get the dash lights, and head lights to glow alittle, and now I don't even get that or any spark.

checked the kill switch and it is fine, checked the tether and that ohms out fine, could it be the coil or magneto? Not sure why it would go out like that.

it is a 2007 MXZX 440.

i had same problem on an old Doo of mine! dealer told me it that stator was probably shot! took the sled apart and found out a wire in the stator was broken off...easy fix! not saying that its your prob...but something to look at!

did you pull the plug off and hook it to the wire, lay it on the block and test for spark, if your not getting anything there, try and trace it back to the mag side, with a little electrical tester, see if your getting power into the coil, if no, keep working your way down... coils do randomly go bad, we had one go down on my dads sled in the middle of a ride, the thing just randomly started not running good then just shut down

Check the DESS cord also, they'll go bad like that too.

I would be looking at the wire harness where it comes out of the motor, and wiggle those around to see if a wire broke inside the insulation. Rework the connectors coming out with some contact spray, then try it again. Good luck, at least it isn't snowing when this happened.
