Cannot get this 9 to tach!

Hi guys, I am hoping someone out there has maybe had the same problem we are currently having.
We ride anywhere between 8-10000 feet in the northern utah, southern Idaho area. We live at 4500feet. We've got 3 900s, 2 2006 and 1 2005. one of the 2006 is giving us problems. It has got slp airbox, slp pipe, with cpi silencer, and the slp head Holtz all the way around. We have never had much luck getting it to tach above 7600 down here in the fields, As we get up to 9-10,000 feet, we're pulling about 74, 7450. The other 06 pulls 7850 at 10,000 and out performs hands down. SO, I began switching, I switched both primary and secondary, exhaust sensor, cleaned power valves, (and weakened springs) Rebuilt top end and balanced crank along with new bearings last fall, it's been flashed for the right color of injectors, I've got the ultimax 3 belt on it, new primary black/green spring and 19-42 gearing. I took it to our dealer, and he plugged it into to digital wrench, which showed all systems good.. but he did adjust the tps just a hair to be within specs, but it didn't give us maybe 50 rpms. WE are stumped... With weights we've gone (at 4500 feet)
Polaris 74 grams = 7450 rpm
Polaris 71 grams = 7700rpm
Polaris 70 grams = 7600rpm
Mtx weights 73 grams 7700
mtx weights 74 grams 7600

We'd like to pull 7950, 8000 down here so we can account for losing a couple as we go up.. Has anyone had this kind of trouble?

Oh, yeah, forgot to mention.. the fuel pump delivers 115+ psi at engine idle, I have not replaced fuel filter, but I did soak it and blow it out with an air compressor a couple different times, it seems like you can blow or suck through it pretty easily

Could the wrong ecu flash prevent it from reving higher? Or possibly a faulty ecu?

I wondered that too, but the dealer called slp with the numbers when plugged into digital wrench, and slp confirmed that it had been flashed for the right year/color/setup. Sure makes you wonder though... Last spring we had a different dealer reflash it as well. Thanks for your input.

i have been seeing some issues with cans. i would switch cans with one of the good running sleds and see what happens. Happyhour on here just had a bad can cause a terrible midrange problem on his 9

Are the exhaust valves opening? I had the ev solenoid go out on my old 900 and it wouldnt tach on top end. You can just put a small hose between the to power valve and try running it, if it work's you have found your problem.

very good idea. i would just remove the lines and cap the ports on the valves. i just did this to my 9 and it runs a lot smoother the power comes on more linear not all at once at 6800 rpm.

Thanks again for more ideas. I did forget to mention, the power valves are opening. When the back end is lifted, you can run the motor and watch them open, also, I have cut all the lines and plugged them as mentioned in all of our 900s, they also go up and down with ease, as I just barely rebuilt the motor. Another thing I forgot to mention, I switched hoods to verify the tach, and it read the same thing. We just barely got it back from the dealer about 2 weeks ago, he adjusted the tps, and mentioned he switched the cpi silencer with an slp he had in the shop, getting 200 less rpms. Our other 06 has an mbrp silencer, so I will switch that probably tomorrow and see what happens. Thanks again for all your input, any more ideas much appreciated.

WHY would he switch the CPI for an SLP...get your CPI back...its WAY better...the MBRP, CPI, Skinz Q are the ONLY cans i would run on my sleds..
