how to paint plastics
Automotive, basecoat, clear coat system, dosen't really matter on manufacture of it. Prep, scuff all plastics with grey scott brite and scuff chemical paste, rinse, wash with soap and water, then alcohol cleaner, then plastic cleaner, then apply ppo adhesion promoter, then primer/sealer, then base coat/coats. airbrush or not, clear coat 3 coats with flex additive in everything!! If it's painted such as Arctic cat hoods, just wet sand with 400 grit wet, if you get too aggresive with the abrasives, it will fur up then you must prime and block with 400 wet then follow the steps above.
