Yeah, I kind of agree with some comments here, guy did kinda deserve it.
This ride killed a park employee in 02, girl's leg in the first car hit the guy's head. Worker died, girl ended up with a shattered leg.
There were signs with not only words but INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZABLE pictures of "Do not enter", "hazardous area", etc.
Two fences should have been a clue too.
There's cubbies at the start of the ride you can put loose items that may fall off during the ride (Hats, jewelry) and retrieve them after the ride.
If you do lose something, fill out a redemption form and pick it up at the end of the day. They don't care about your stuff enough to shut the ride down to pick up a hat, but they do clean up every night.
Unfortunate? Yeah. Preventable? Absolutely.
