Can you leagally cut down a christmas inside of any national forest?

I would like to take my 4 yr old with on a sled to cut a tree down for us. Where would be the closest place from denver?

You can go up to church park by winterpark. You can sled out of there and get one. Just make sure you get a permit before you cut one. Stop in the chamber of commerce in winterpark and you can buy a permit.

Sure you can cut down all the Chritmas' you can find! Trees, not so much.

Saw some people cutting xmas trees outside the muddy creek lot on RE.
