Can you have too much float?

I have a 2008 Nytro MTX. I am thinking about switching to GenII skis and a Skinz Float Plate. Can you have too much float? I was wondering how it all may effect sidehilling and boondocking. Thanks

Gen 2's will be all you need IMO....lots of guys took of there float plate from what I have read.

the skis will help. I have seen the float plate fill up with snow in the front wells and make front heavier. idea is good but if you can keep the bellypan out of the snow you will have less resistance and better traction
