Can you drive in on the GC side?

Wanting to hit GC tomorrow for a buddies birthday ride. There was a posting up a week or two ago saying that the entry from the GC side may become difficult or closed due to trenching for the road work. Does anyone have any recent conditions? If not from the GC side how is the entry on the Stampede side?

Me and Ruffy talked to the DOT guy and he said they'd be trenching the road by this week and that the FS was suppose to have the road closed. I'd just make plans to not be able to access it....

What about the Lake Kachees access? Are you talking about trenching on the i-90/Hyak access?

Anybocy know how the road is up from the kachees side. Specificly how much dirt you would have to ride.

Confirmed. GC side is closed. Rode up there last night to check it out.

Was able to drive to the last cabin today. I didn't ask if they'd be closing the road entirely. It is about 8'6" wide and the trailer turn around is a gravel driveway.....

From there the snow covered all but a couple of short patches of road.

you take cell tower to lester than head ne to gold creek and than n to kachess lake.

those arent steem vents, its the cobra kai dojo and a hamm radio tower. Whats in yur bota bag?

it would make a good mid week ride. if its a stuck fest just stay in easton.

then if you stayed in easton. Ride from easton to cle elum,from there ride to whistlin jacks for lunch, then up to tri pod,over to pyramid pass or take the road after you com down 103 make a right and 40 mins later your at government meadows. For those that know u can get to lester from stampede also. I havent done it but seems possible. Cant believe every thing you read on here. Just look at the times of my posts. You be the judge.lol
