The prices are making it hard to sell my 2005 900 RMK ......... oh wait it's a 900 - thats what makes it hard to sell.
Anyway bought a 2009 Summit Hill Climb Edition for $3000 off list.

That's low! Lower than what most will ask for their used ones in a month or 2.

Yea Marv.... Kinda takes the legs out of a decent resale.... I'm already seeing '09 800's w/ Holz front/evol-r equipped, slp piped/can, clutched with goodies used for $7800...

sales

Ya we dropped the prices on ours to. Just so much nicer to get them out of the shop for summer. Nows the time to buy get an awesome sled at an awesome price

Unless you are jumping in and buying brand new it's all pretty relative. The used stuff is taking the same percentage hit and dealers have way too much excess traded inventories.

A fraction of the typical sales are taking place and a fraction of the typical numbers are on the snow. Very low volume snow conditions and the state of the economy out west are wreaking havoc on sales. If you have money and can afford to buy and hold your old sled or simply add to your collection this is an awesome time!

I flat out love this years 800 RMK. (OUR SLEDS FLAT RIP) It is an absolute joy to ride and if anyone who is a polaris fan can afford it you are making a huge mistake not getting this sled for use the rest of the year and many too come. As always and proven from the amount of griping and complaining going on from a select few who have recieved brutally poor dealer setup and service YOU BETTER FIRST AND FOREMOST FACTOR WHO YOU ARE BUYING IT FROM WAY BEFORE YOU SIMPLY GO WITH THE LOWEST ADVERTIZED PRICE. A poorly setup vehicle that either fails or runs like crap (and can't be fixed by an incompetant dealership) isn't even worth these crazy prices!

Now gang get down to your shop and SAVE AMERICA! RAW RAW

Used is just as silly. The gspike.com link is here in Utah. Take a few minutes and look through ksl.com's sled section and you'll be surprised at how cheap used stuff is going for.

Rob.... I couldn't agree more... Having a good dealer to support you on setup and on service (warranty or otherwise) is key to having a good experience.

I'm pretty spoiled that I have a great dealer (Richie and Charlie @ Adrenelaine Powersports) in my neighborhood.... as do you Rob (Carls).

Seems like now is the time to buy if you have the cash.

I'm not too impressed with used prices yet. I'm looking for an RMK for about $2.5 to $4.5K, and a few people are realistic, but most aren't. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to pay $3,500 to $4,000 for an 02 to 04 Edge with 3,500 miles on it. Not when 08 rental IQ 600's are going for $4100 with similar miles. Why don't people get real with their Edge prices? They aren't made out of solid gold!

I couldn't agree more. IMO... after riding an IQ mtn sled a person would be a fool to go back to the edge chassis. DINOSOURS!

Just a look into the future

The prices are great if you don't plan on selling your used one . And if you do, well plan on taking a beating . I can see why the dealers are trying to sell them that cheap but it will kill them in the future . Who will snowcheck a new one for $10500.00 when you know you will take that big of a hit the next year . Good luck dealers and manufactures . Oh that is right Oboma will save us .

People are just not going to buy new sled's as often. I buy every 2 years if I can but used to get good dollar for my trade in's but when they drive the prices down like this and make your trades worth f-all, people and me will just hang on to their sleds allot longer, will be great for the mod shops but not for the dealers. Why are there so many new sleds left at the end of the season at the shops every year now. I know my dealer is not interested in used sleds trade ins and the ones they do have are priced so high that people will just pay the extra for new

Best I have seen in BC is 09 D800 163 for 9995.00 CDN which works out to about 8K US. Makes me want to trade my rmk7 in on it..

good luck with the trade in thing just call and ask to see what they will give you if they even will . Hope it works out
