Can`t post same pic twice???

Hello I have tried to post the same pic in different sections and the Manage attachments box say I already posed it in a thread it list or title for me, and I can`t get any pic of the same to go twice, why has this changed? I have even tried renaming them. It makes it frustrating trying to post pics especially since this place is so SLOW, It seems I can go out for a smoke before something loads up, and I don`t smoke!! LOL

Thanks, Darren

Nope won`t do it,
In the manage attachent window it says at the top it says

upload error

You have already attached this file in : can`t post same pic twice???

I actually never tried to post the same pic twice in the same thread, which is what I just did, so it won`t allow me to do that either.

Its usually if I am trying to post a pic that I posted in some previous thread and wan`t to show the same pic on another thread it does the same.

?????

I have found a way to re-post an already posted pic.
Its a bit clumsy but it works.

1st.Click open your "User CP".
Select "options".
Scroll way down near the bottom, and click "attachments."
This will open a list of all the pics you have attached thru the 4M, not off site.

You can also delete pics from this same menu.

Now click on the pic title you want to reuse, to open it.
Right click on the pic, then left click on "properties."
Where the URL is shown, drag over the URL to highlight it.

Right click , and select "copy" (the URL)
Click "OK" to exit that menu.

Now! :p

Start your thread or post where you want to re-use the pic.
From the tool bar at the top of the posting box, click on the box with the mountains icon.
Once that opens, paste in the URL from the above description.
Note, you will have to delete the redundant "http://" that automatically pops up, before pasting in your URL.

Like this reused pic. Here's me last season (or not). LOL.

Sturgis, your pic came from off site at photobucket, not from within the "attachments" within the SW 4M.

I right clicked your reposted pic and here is its URL.

WHY would anyone put a pic in the attachment area in the first place, I HATE having to click on a pic to enlarge it, usually just ignore them tho.

Then how do you post a pic with out using the manage attachment? I thought that was what it was there for , If I knew a better was I would not put them there just usually you go to post a reply or thread the manage attachment options is there, I also dont like clicking on a pic and waiting for it to get bigger, It is already slow enough around here lately, Only other way I know is to post a link to my photobucket. and I usually ignore those. unless its something I know I have to see.

Thank, wildcard28

When your posting get the URL of the pic you want, select the icon from the toolbar that looks like a yellow postcard and paste the URL of the pic and your done. In firefox I right click the pic and select properties, the select picture location and ctrl a then control c then in dialog box of post ctrl v to paste.

try it again

I posted this pic by highlighting the direct link of the pics in photobucket and pasted it in the url of the magage attachments box. but I would like to know how to post a bigger pic that you don`t have to click on a wait for it to enlarge, just a pic that is bigger like the one snowizard reposted I try to highlight the url after right clicking the image and when I hold and and try to drag the url in properties over to the attachment box it won`t open from the lower toolbar of my screen of where stuff drops down at lower part of the screen after clicking something else.

my sled pics are in photobucket but some other pics are still on my pc and need to post them sometimes too.

I just clicked on the yellow insert image icon and pasted the URL ( I used the URL of http://www.snowest.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=80928&d=1255710678) but if it's photobucket use that url, upload the ones from your computer to photobucket.
