Can I turn off my Headlight?

I posted this in the mod forum but I'll post it in here too. I have a 06 Apex and I want to know if I toggle my headlights so I can turn them off, will it hurt anything? Does the 4 stroke have a stater or something that needs the headlights to use up extra wattage?

You should fine, I dont have any lights at all and its fine.

Any current model DC powered sled should be fine, including the Yamahas
