all the Yamaha 4 stroke sleds have proved to be reliable the engines are bullet proof even the guy's that are ruining turbo's with huge hp are getting Lott's of miles out of these without a problem and belt life is unbelievable . as far as witch one is to heavy, there all heavy its a 4 stroke and Yamaha builds sled to last a long time. as to which one to get it depends on who and how thy like to ride. I have had a phazer, 2 Nytros, and a Apex and liked all of them. Each one has its strengths and weakness's like all sleds. I think you would be lucky to fined a 4 stroke for 3k I think 4k to 5k for a used one is more like it for a phazer. I have herd of some people picking up used Apex's with lots of miles for around $4,500. hope this helps you out good luck.
