I know there is some geometry changes and more than just a shock but one would think if you measured the stock shock length that an improvement could be made by putting a aftermarket rebuildable shock in last years kit. Or a combo of that with some good valving.

At this point I might as well leave it. I dont know what to switch out to make improvements or if it is even worth it.

It is a through shaft, so if you can find a brass punch with a flat face that fits inside the space as the bolt that attaches it to the shaft, then adding a little heart gun hear and some mild tapping should break it free. First one side and then the other...
