any body camping at the forum ride? is there anywhere to camp? never been down south or on the forum ride would love to go if i can find a place to park my camper.

There is a Forest Service campground just of south Almont (where the forum supper is being held). I've seen people camping there in the winter, so I'm pretty sure it's game on. It's a sneaky little turn in so keep your eyes peeled for a right turn just as the the road starts to canyon up. The campground is right next to river, so its butt azz cold, but the price is right. Another thought is to ask Harold, the owner of the Almont Resort, if you can park your rig in the back lot behind the lodge. He's a real cool dude and its nice and quiet back there. Almont Resort's number is 970-641-4009. If Harold's not around, ask for Johnny- he might be able to help also. 20 miles from Almont to Irwin trailhead. I wouldn't recommend camping at trailhead. It's loud and FS cop has too big of a badge.

the north end is gated you can still use the south end
I seen a camp there a week ago I don't think there is a gate on the south end I will look tonight on my way home
Across the hwy opposite the campground there is a road that will put you up on the shelf above the hwy plenty of room to turn around and park.

no. i should prolly replace one of the lowers but it's only got a small dent in it. the hood on the other hand aint so great
LOL i got it stitched back together with some zip ties. she looks like frankenstein 
i'll have all summer to make her look good again time to ride now! you gonna make the forum ride?

not sure yet. i'm still not positive that i'm goin, i am tryin tho. prolly end up there sometime fri late or sat early keep me up to speed on what your doing.
I checked it out this AM
the south end of the campground is still accessible the campground has been used recently so you should have no problem pulling in there
