Camoplast Power Claw

im in the market for a new track for my M7 153. im really leaning toward the Camoplast Power Claw, but would like some feed back before i spend the money. if anyone could give me their .02 that would be great.

i had a m8 with the challanger and thought it was fine until i got the powerclaw would never go back it hooks up so well in all conditions it turns your 153 into a 162, you will love the powerclaw. The only drawback is it flings stuff like crazy on the trail so whoever follows you will hate it.

I am sure you tried the "Search" function on this site.

There must be 50+ threads on this track.

Overall I think most people really like it.

I switched from the stock Challenger to the PC on my M1000 and am very happy with it.

Thunder

love the track going up hill ,dont know if you all find this but hold back going down is not so good, have to be careful who I follow down hills, buddys seem to hold back better, just my 2 cents

Get one!!!

My advice - make the investment and get one!!! Yesterday was my first day on mine. My forearms are as sore as they've ever been today. If you ride standing up most of the time like I do, hang on!!! It hooks up in all snow like you would not believe. Dollar for dollar, it's the best mod I have on my sled and I've spent a lot of money in mods!

I too put one on my M7. Best mod that I've done to date. It turned it into a totally different sled.

How is the durability on these? I'm one of those idiots that seems to ride through some of the rockiest places along with the down timber to find those sweet spots, and the challengers and the attack 20 seem to get torn up pretty easy. I realize that will tear up any track, but will it last better than the other two?

I am wondering if it is much of an upgrade over the Attack 20? I know a lot of guys never liked that track but in hillclimb, it climbs like no other track I have seen. It also throws snow like crazy, and is sometimes sketchy coming down hardpack. They actually sound pretty similar.

The outer edge of the pc is like the attack 20 in hillclimb position and the inner is like the attack 20 in powder position so it is pretty good in both conditions.

pc

its a great track, it hooks up really well only minor draw back that i've noticed is it's harder to kick the back end around sidehilling or turning back up hill

I have run the A20 everyway you can and straightened it it is not even in the same ballpark unless your in bottomless pow and its in the normal position. IMO

My friend got a brand new one late last year, and he has already managed to take a five inch chunk out of it, and it sits in his garage now. We ride hard, even if that means hitting an occasional tree or a rock (which there have been a lot of so far with this poor snowpack we have!) but he was just driving the sled up his trailer ramp at the house! Who knows if that's really all that happened, all I know is I was ready to go and all he had to do was load up, and then I get a call saying he can't go anymore. The ONLY reason I did not buy one last week after my Challenger died, is because it's a single ply track, and I question how durable that is. For me, I want to hear how well these things hold up (and take some abuse) for a couple years before I buy one.

I agree, one off my rideing buds put a power claw on his 08 M8 153 and oh my hell what a change on that sled. I have a challenger on my 06 M7 162 and that power claw runs like it is a 162. Will replace with a power claw but only when I need a new track. I think its a better track but not enough to just go buy it because. But if you are needing to spend that coin anyway you would be crazy to buy anyother track for the mountains.
But just my.02

I Have an M-8 and it had the challanger on it. I really loved that track until i got the powerclaw I would never go back to the Challanger the new power claw hooks up so good in any conditions, you will love the powerclaw.
The only thing is it flings big chunks of snow like crazy so who ever is on The trail behind you will hate it. they wont be on your butt thats for sure.... :smow:

the p/c rolls so much easier it takes less horsepower to turn, I have a mt cat with camo 2 ply and my new m8 has the p/w and when you let off the throttle the m8 will roll way farther, the mt cat with camo doesn't need brakes near as much. the only bad thing is that nobody wants to follow a p/c, they throw stuff big time

Best track ever invented. I have ran over trees rocks and all, still no chunks missing, I ride hanging on but not stupid, If I think there might be a land mine I am alert and ready to let off, not just pin it and shred the track. But I have uncovered many rocks and even cut a 15" section out of a down 2" round tree.
