Camo X3 versus Polaris 3"

Hey Guys,

I am thinking about getting rid of the pro and I am debating about the 2.6" or wait and get the 3" snow check only.

I have found several 2.6 models in stock and at great prices. My Pro has a Camo X3 that I can put in the axys rather then sell it.

My question is how close are these tracks or would you take the 2.6 and sell the X3? Not that it is true but I had heard that the 2.6 poo track was night and day better than the camoX 2.5".

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Tough one .. Have you compared your pro with camo 3" vs axys 2.6 ?
I put a 2.6 track on my 13 155 pro it rocks .
I'm getting same track speeds as 2.4 and in the deep kicking all t3 163 s
I think I would happy with the 2.6 but I never realy had a true comparison
With the 3"

Having just come off a pro with 156 x3 to 155 2.6 axys. The x3 did have more right now traction, so much so that i had to shorten mg limit strap to keep the front end down and went to mohawk skis so that it would turn. The x3 didnt have the side hill bite the 2.4 had and same can be said with the axys and the 2.6. The x3 seemed to wash out a bit more. The 2.6 in the axys doesnt have the climbing bite that the x3 had but it makes up for it with track speed and ive heard it gets better with miles. I only have about 140 miles on mine so maybe it will get better. One thing i will say is i dont like the x3 on more set up snow and i think the 2.6 far outshines it in this case.

I like the 2.6 on my axys better than the x-3 on the pro. might not hook up quite as much on firm snow, but doesn't push in the corners and trenches less. In all I've enjoyed the axys w/ 2.6. It did take me a few rides to be able to be comfortable with those technical side hills. Never rode the axys with the x-3, but happy with the 2.6 so won't be going to the 3"

I love my 16' 163 x 3, lots of traction everywhere !
I checked a 3" due to the fact I did not want a belt drive and also has the steel drive shaft !

Thanks for the input everyone!!! Sounds like the 2.6 won't disappoint, so for the money I think I a, just going to buy an in season pro. The rebates right now are ridiculous so I can't see paying 3 or 4 more to get a different color one for next season.

I have had 2 different 3 inch tracked pros. A 12 with the avid dropped case and 8 tooth drivers and a cut camp extreme. The 15 has 7 tooth center drivers and a x3. Spent the day on a Axys yesterday. It was a belt drive 2.6 sled the dealer had put a 3 inch on.
The Axys needs the suspension adjusted for me. Right now it is a wheelie monster. Much worse than either. Of the pros.
The Axys is a great sled, IMO much better than a stock tracked pro, but not that much better than a 3 inch pro. There is some late model pros with 15 inch tracks out there for sale.
I am at the point in life I am trying to find the sled that compliments my strengths and hides my weaknesses. Instead I probably should look to Jenny Craig and a time machine.
Maybe after breakfast, looks like my wife has a big plate of bacon and eggs for me!

I am pretty sure if you spent more than a day on the Axys, you would change that tune. There is NO WAY a 3" Pro can hang with a 2.6 Axys. I had two Pros and compared my Axys back to back with my buddies Pro after I had spent some time on the new sled. There is no comparison. The power of the Axys feels like double what the Pro has. The chassis gets up and stays up on the snow much better and changing directions with the Axys is night and day better than the Pro.

I loved my Pros, I really did. They were the best sled around for sure. The Axys leaves the Pro for dead IMO, in every way, power, handling, feel, build quality.

Putting a 3" on a Pro can't even get it close to the Axys.
