CAMO 3" WHO'S RUNNING IT?

I was wondering who has tried the camo extreme 3" lug track on there PRO?

What track length did you go with?

How does it compare to the 2.5" camo?

How does it compare to the 5.1?

Did you use the Avid chain case?

How many miles and are they holding up?

Have it on my mod sled

1) you have to run the chaincase from avid 800.00+ bucks
2) you have to cut your brand new track to 15" wide as there is no 15 wide 3" only 16
3) paddles of the 3" do break/wear/tear pretty easy but its like a top fuel tire, you replace as needed.
4) it works good but not really that much amazingly better compared to a 174 2.5 on a light sled imho

New rails, drop and roll, drivers and 174 2.5 goes in

Thanks for the info..... Do you think it would be okay to run the 2.5 camo without changing the chaincase?
Or drivers?

You can do the 2.5 camoplast ext in the 162 length with the 2.86 pitch drivers, I did that on my D700..worked very well. however on my proride I think the 5.1 works quite good. May not be worth the swap unless you do drop and drivers for the 174 as it requires the 3" pitch avid or wahl drivers.

a solid maybe....i'm thinkin a small extention would be needed, or at the least a strap and nice solid snowflap.

174*3 PRO

Have the above. Avid chaincase, sawed 16 wide to 15. Dave Kano in Kalispell did work for me. Avid drivers and VE tunnel extension.

I rode in deep heavy snow yesterday and it gives my 174*16*2.5 180HP big bore xp at 8500rpm a workout.

The most impressive "underpowered sled I have seen".

It is not the big chute climber but it is very fun and IMO the best steep mountain agile sled I have seen.

Ran up against 3" etec turbo two weeks and the Pro surprised all involved including 174 twin piped artic 1000.

Gets on top of snow and has a lot of heart, goes and goes.

My favorite sled to date including:
1971 doo elan
1984 Phazer
1990 Polaris Indy 500
1993 Polaris 750 triple w. 2" full block and extend chaincase slp triple
1999 Polaris 700 indy rmk/770 union bay big bore twin Crankshops
2002 Polaris 700 twin Crankshops
2008 doo xp big bore twin jaws 174*16 2.5
2008 doo xp 163 stock with can
2011 etec 154

Dave Kono and Avid did mine as well. I was gonna get a turbo but love it so much better than my 163 that I don't think I need a turbo. Flat out rips. Feels like my 200 horse mod sled. Pulls very hard. Climbs with confidence. Floats much better. Put a jaws can on. Improved throttle crispness. FROM SOMEONE who never thought I would be able to leave the motor alone, its a keeper.

I was wondering how the 174" handles verus the 163"? Do you notice much difference in manouverablity, switch backing quickly through trees?

It handles great due to the pro chassis. First sled I ever had can sit down a do tight brodies due to 3" paddle. It is nimble in the trees as well.

I like it better than the 163, pulls over easy and stays even better.
