Cameron Pass Questions

First season riding, and I'm curious as to where people park and where people ride on Cameron Pass. Is anyone willing to share some info?

I'm not looking to poach your spots, just trying to have a plan of where to go tomorrow (5/4) instead of wasting part of the morning trying to figure out where to unload. My backup plan is going to Rabbit Ears, parking in MC lot and riding our usual north facing spots.

There are not many areas to park on Cameron. You can park @ the Long Draw entrance. You can park at the American lakes / Lake Agnes area (just on side of road virtually but you'll find many cross country skiers park there as well.) Just a 1/2 mile down the road (west) you can park on the side of the road and sometimes the plow will even plow a bit extra to give trucks and trailers room.

Main parking lot is down just outside of Gould. Follow the road that sits just south of the Drifter back until you see the parking lot. Gives you access to the Illinois river valley, Baker Pass etc.

FYI to everyone, they were out there with bulldozers yesterday getting ready to plow Long Draw Road again, so it might not be the best place to ride from. Also, snow was pretty thin in Gould.
