Camera for Pulling Doubles

Had a flat tire on my four wheeler trailer the other weekend while I was pulling it behind my 5th wheel. Luckly I had someone stop me right away, as I didn't even know it had blown out. Thinking a camera mounted to the back of the 5th wheel would be a good idea to see what is going on with the four wheeler trailer. Anyone install a camera on their 5th wheel to see their four wheeler or boat trailer? What camera did you use?

I dont have any specific models to offer, but I would think any sort of back up camera would be sufficient. Mounting relatively low would help you see the hitch, and tires.

I was worried about the same thing happening too me so I installed a backup camera on the back of my 32' bumper pull trailer and hooked the positive wire to my lights instead of the backup lights..so i drive with my lights on when pulling doubles which isn't a bad idea anyways.. it works great. I could tell if I had a blow out or if the trailer gets to swaying real bad also if cars are behind me.. I also installed a sway bar to my 2nd rig that I pull (boat, 4 wheeler/sled trailer) they are cheap to buy considering the other option of losing ur toys..

For ag use their are several types of cameras available, in wireless and hard wired configurations. These work excellant for and are designed for looking in areas where you can't see normaly.

A lot of them use infrared technology or something similar and work quite well in the dark or dimly lit areas.

Do you have any problems with the wireless signal reaching to your truck? What camera setup are you using.

I hadn't thought about a pressure monitor system. Not a bad alternative.
