Does anyone know if you can calibrate a 2004 RMK 800 tachometer. Years ago I have Aaen performance calibrate a tach on my 92 RXL 650 triple EFI.
If it can be done; anyone know of a place that does this.
Thanks
I received the tach back from SLP. It was 200 RPM's off at 8000 RPM showing on the tach. So the engine was actually only running at 7800 RPM's. Now I have to run some more weight on my MTX . SLP recommended adding 2 grams more per weight in the second hole. Right now I'm running MTX 68 grams with 3 grams rivets in the last hole.
I mentioned in the above that SLP suggested that I add 2 more grams of weight in the 2nd hole of the MTX weights. Actually the advise was backwards. Talked to them again. I have to drill out the 3 gram weights and just add the 2 gram weight to the last hole to up the RPM to 7900 RPM. Ideal running RPM according to SLP is 7900 RPM.
