C3 Belt Drive - Anyone running one?

Thanks for the good pictures! Let us know how it feels

I feel $900+ Is alot for what your getting. They should be selling the kit for WAY less considering it Cant cost more than $150 to produce.

Looking forward to hearing about it!

$150.........really, are you serious???????? The belt alone is $100.........

Are the sprockets in this kit aluminum or steel? does it leave the chaincase bearings stock?

The sprockets are anodized aluminum. I think they are billet as well, but not sure (would explain the price tag). As for bearings, you do not have to change them out for something else. It explains in the direction how to lubricate them while using this kit.

I might try a torx head bolt, the allen bolt is just slightly touching after modifying.. Are we worried?

Cool mod for sure, how much weight loss are they claiming? Any insight as to how long the belt is suppose to last?

So with the belt drive. can you change to different belts or sprockets to get different ratios like we can with Chain and gears? I would think that would be pretty expensive to do since that kit is $900.00

I wish Kevin from c3 would respond to these questions..
There is weight loss not sure on the amount, I did not weight the kit
What I've "heard" on belt life is 1000+ miles
Multiple gear ratios available, changes in minutes.. Not sure on the cost
Keeps the original jack and drive shafts without modification
Only mod that has to be done is clearancing the muffler and tensioner bolt, no big deal

What gear ratio did you get? Have an SLP can as well, any pics of how you had to clearance it?

Thanks!

Put 60 miles on kit this weekend, I made too many changes to my sled to give an accurate opinion on how much performance gain I got... But it works. Once the belt is broken in the blue dust stops getting on the muffler and exhaust causing a burning rubber smell, it was quiet no noise, and smooth.. Forgot it was there after about 10 miles and a couple checks.

2010 Assault, Rktek piston and head kit, 153 C.E. 2.5 avid 7 tooth 3" drivers, 2:14 gear ratio, Carl's helix, stock clutch springs, 10-64s @ 1k elevation
Stock exhaust no controller

8450 first 5 miles
8500 next 10
8600 popped up on max tach recall once the track started to break-in
where is the rev limiter?? No warning lights and no hiccups...
Runs perfect "weird I know"
10-68's next time out? At 1k elevation

Forgot to check my max mph..
10-64s @ 1k elevation
Max rpm 8600 whoops
Max mph 89 whoops
Hope this helps ya guys
Rich how did your sled run??

Rich how did your sled run??

Running awesome. On the first ride, when I checked the heated belt delflection, it was about 1/4". Kevin recommended I loosen the deflection a little, so it's probably about 9/16 or so now when cold.

Hey Rich,

How'd you like that belt drive? i'm thinking of the same upgrade. Did you have any problems with it on the trail? Notice a difference?

The C3 kit has been flawless, no problems what so ever. The sled does seem to accelerate better. Since the last tension adjustment from the first ride on it, I haven't had to do anything with it.

I put one on my 13 pro last winter due to blowing the stock belts, And I couldn't be happier with it. I have about 700 miles on one belt which is over twice the mileage I got out of the stock ones. When doing the install I set it up according to the instructions, set the belt tension once since then at about 150 or so miles and I haven't had to touch it since then.
