There is a group of people who believe just what you are stating and we all live and ride at Mt Bachelor. This is a fight we have been waging with the FS and OSSA for many years. The challenge is we are fighting OSSA, the FS and the Green people. OSSA feels any parking lot larger than Dutchman is better than fighting for what is best for the sport. Expanding Dutchamn is the only logical solution to the problem. However it takes a large group to fight these battles. The Green Folks have a plan to attempt to take over Dutchamn after Kapka is built. On the last go around with the FS on the proposed Kapka Butte Sno-Park boondoggle we got close to 800 letters into the FS on the issue thanks to a lot of peoples efforts. It made a difference but the fight is not over yet. The finial Environmental Impact Statement will be out this Dec or Jan. There will be another comment period for us to respond to the findings. Yes we realize its like pushing a rope up hill working with the FS. Keep in mind the FS are as green as they come. They do not care about revenues only trying to keep the squeaky wheels quiet.

If you really want to help fight this battle get involved with the people who are fighting everyday.

08 D-8 broke in and ready to ride lie I stole it.

Went up to dutchman yesterday and put about 40 miles on new update. rode on cascade lakes highway towards elk lake. about 16" around todd lake. deep enough to do surf turns without hitting the asphalt. Had fun. Sled runs pretty good considering the fuel is mixed heavy with break in oil. Next ride I will fill up with non ethenol and plug in the wires and ride it like I stole it. Its going to be a killer winter if the dragon runs good.

I made it up to moon mountain on tuesday, got to climb a little. need a lot more snow, but still didn't hit too many rocks.

Ya a couple of us are hittin the mountain today at 1. should be pretty good. Still trail riding but should be boon docken soon i hope.gotta love the steep and deep.

I have 4" on my deck as of 11 pm sat night. Heard word of 15 more inches in the mountains!!

The wished, got my stearing stim welded friday night. went up to moon saturday and burned a whole tank of fuel climbing the face of moon and the south side in the trees.The pow was deep enough not to hit a lot of rocks and stumps. Big D hit a couple of big rocks doing surf turns on the flats south of moon. gotta check today to look for bent parts. Hes going to kill it this year. Im going to have to pick up my game because hes getting close [not quite] but close to kicking my ars. it was killer. smoked one of those cheap $ss carlisle belts in the process. Pray for more snow. see ya monday.
