Was wondering myself on the BDX. I have tried the MTX and do not like, I prefer the stock Gripper ski way over the MTX but they are wider. I like my Curves but have been thinking about trying the BDX so would be cool to hear some comparison on the BDX vs Gripper.
I used them all season and really like them. They are more stable on a side hill that's been tore up already. The skis don't deflect at all compared to grippers. They turn great in loose snow. If the snow is frozen or hard and set-up, you will notice more effort in your turning.
For harder set-up snow, I would run stock grippers. I also run stock grippers in spring conditions so I don't tear up the BX's.
I would recommend them. They don't flex and deflect at all compared to the stock skis so, I found them to be more predictable.
I snowchecked a 2017 3 inch. Can't wait to try them on that machine.
Nice review.... I have a 16 3" k mod, z bros exit shocks X1 x2 rear, 36 front , bx skis and it's a monster. Oh silber on 7 lbs... Fly racing next level bars, pro armor tether. On and on! Love it! My deep snow machine
C&A might be heavier but I think they are built based on a certain riding style. Not only great deep snow and back country skis but really nice for any amount of air you get.... Or hard landing I mean. They are built like iron compared to most. Guess that's what I like bout them most
