By By Timbersled Hellow Camso

Just dropped off a couple Timbersled 120ST, waiting on a couple Camso DTS 129, the 2017 blew me away, can't wait too shred the deep pow with the new and improved 2018s, if you like the steep and deep hold off on your purchase until you can demo one of these Canadian powder hounds.

What was it that impressed you about the Camso so much? I’ve got a TS 137 LE ARO on order.

I had a 15 lt tss it a 16 track.. for me it was how effortlessly it would get up on the snow and really not trench in that first few seconds... I liked the feeling of it better on the roads also...plus a lower seat height...

Good question

I'm sure the TS 137 Aro will be a great ride and work really well, concerning the camso I really like the flat attack angle of the track, and the single rail system, it gets up and floats in the powder and boondocking is effortless, reminds me of my 2013 summit when the flextrack 1st came out.

To piggy back on this point, efficiency is the game with low horse power. The camso seems to free wheel effortlessly. The TS just lugs, like there's to much friction with the skid/drive design. The less the motor has to work to turn your track the more efficient the power delivery.

Camso has the track. Its nothing else. They kept the best for themselves ! Genius really ! Now if they were smart they would make a track for thier new Yeti line and have the best and the market !

Hmm CMX has a new track which is a Camso. It will be the best option out there, Lighter than Camso.s 129 and same type paddle with two side post. You guys compare the 120 TS to camso and seriously need to realize the `129 is going to float better.A 120 is short and the TS steep angle will never compete with a 129 shallow angle made for powder.

Is the suspension and/or durability of a Camso any worry? Very intrigued to try one but am hesitant due to past experiences with other brands and hearing about some of the DTS's shortcomings last year.

The shallow approach angle of the 129 camso kit lays more track out in the powder than a 136 TS., The CMX has even more shallow approach and more on the snow than the 136TS and Camso,CMX will get the new Camso powder track in 18 , It also has great suspension, Camos lacked suspension in 2017 however I will have the 2018 in shop soon to compare and see the upgrades,,

Thanks for the insight, I look forward to the comparison. Suspension is what worries me most about the Camso.

I would agree ... Suspension wise it is not the cliff dropping and cornice hucking rig... I believe it is more the tree shredding , powder munching, lowest sitting kit out there.... That I have tried...

I have a 17’ TS LE 120. Was going to buy a new aro for s second bike. May have to try the new dts 129 as I really like the ski design, track and lot Attack angle

Price may be negotiable, be sure and ask your dealer.

Been shopping around for lowest price. List price is $4799 however I found one dealer willing to go as low as $4340. Be sure sto shop around and don’t pay full msrp if you don’t have to.

What I don't like is that they added 10 pounds to their kit... I've saved specs from 2017 and compared with the 2018 ones.

135 lbs for the track is on the heavy side. They done it to mitigate the frame cracking it seems

Has anyone confirmed the weight gain? Everything their brochure mentions is a weight loss I thought.

So this is my thought... I had a 120 mototrax and a timbersled... to me it rides nicer feels lighter.. Maybe lower center of gravity? I never feel the weight..
