Well it is time to get a good helmet cam set up. It seems like the Vio Sport Camera has the best reviews. Can someone help me choose the best model. I see they make a 1.0 version and a 1.5. Where can I find the best deal....ebay? Thanks for any advice.

i guess the big difference between 1.0 and 1.5 is that 1.5 has a wide(r) angle lens. i don't think it's worth more $ for sledding purposes. i'm quite happy with my 1.0 which came off ebay "almost new" for a couple hundred dollar savings. there's one on there now @ $300. vids shot with vio

i just ordered the vholdr contour hd from sled solutions on here. should be here any day. it was very affordable and an all in one unit

Get the 1.5. Has the wide angle lens, updated firmware for increased storage capacity. Also has better mounting pieces for the helmet and stuff. My buddy has the pov1 and the quality is great. Plus no other camera has the tag ability which imo is the best reason to get it.

With the POV you can loop the recording so it continues to record over itself when until you hit the tag and then it will save the segment based on the time block you preset, say 2min it grabs the 2min of footage. That way if you do something worth keeping after you did it you can still tag it and it will save it.

Works great, no messing with reaching up on the helmet to start and stop recording, just have the tag remote on the handlebars and you are set while riding.

its no differant. just a bit smaller.

you can download the 8gb firmware for the pov1.

and there is new firmware to control the color settings better. its 10$ to download.

havent tried it yet wondering if anyone has
