im well aware that you can bring used sleds across the border.

But how many guys have bought sleds brand new from the dealer in the US and then brought them into Canada?
The sled im looking to buy is a new 12 polaris pro rmk.
buy it brand spankin new from the dealer in the states then bring it into canada

Has anyone done this?

They won't sell it to you without a US address. The manufacturers have a policy that prohibits US dealers from selling to Canadians unless they have a US address.

I'm pretty far away from Canada but I'd buy it, put a mile on it then flip it to you. Find somebody closer to do it.

Yup, the title has to go to someone in the USA. Lots of people will get it titled in there name, but that means they own it until its signed over to you.

Yup, the good thing is it's completely legal. When I lived in the US I bought 2 new Polaris sleds, payed for them, did paperwork and left them at the dealership for a Canadian to pick up. Dealership took care of everything.

When he crossed at the border he explained exactly what we did and they never said anything at all.
