Buying kit this weekend need input

^ Wow!
So here's my side of the coin. Not a small guy but not a lardo. 210 plus gear, heavy AV pack etc.
Also not good enough to do those pics above, on purpose anyway!
my ST gets around fine in the heavy wet snow I've ridden it in. BUT
After years of riding sleds in CO/away powder, I "think" I'd be a lot more of a stuck chuck with a st length machine there. You have less flotation and traction in light snow.
I also know I like hucking a short track sled more than a 150-160" machine, but I think a short track would limit me with my mediocre skills in real powder. Not unlike a sled, jmo.

Man you guys got me pumped up, those are awesome pictures. One thing that I am really looking forward to on the snowbikes is drops. There are so many sweet drops I see out sledding that I have not way or not enough skill to even get myself up on top to do the drop, and always thought the snowbike could make it to it.

I am going to get the SX kit in the morning. Can't wait!

So I picked it up this weekend. Very cool and nicer than I expected. Came with a timbersled bike cover never used, the wheels, lots of extra chains, sprockets, bags, gas cans and far more. All for $5200 and only 3 hours on it all. Think I made the right choice :eyebrows:

Dang that thing looks sweet, is that all pinstriped by hand? Don't listen to Rush you don't need a KTM :face-icon-small-ton There's already too man KTM fanboys here haha just giving you all a hard time.

Ya he had it pin stripes by a body shop guy. It's painted though so may wear off. As far as bike goes I'm going to try this kx450f for the year. And knowing myself if I like this as much or more than my sled I will have a new bike come next winter.

Put a piston in the kx450 before it "reminds" you the hard way. Just joking but did have one split above the wristpin in our group last year. You will love that setup. More fun than should be legal. You could always sell the floats to someone and buy some raptors. That's what I would do.

Ya good to meet you Wheel House. I wouldn't mind getting out to ride with some of you snowbikers this winter. All my buddies are on sleds and I am the only one with a snowbike as of right now.

As far as upgrading the floats, the guy I uses for my shocks has an evol upgrade kit he will put on for $200 so will probably just go that route to be cheaper. I just decked out my rmk so now I am going to have as hard of a time deciding which one to use. I already can't decide if I want to ride my RMZ 250 or kx450f when I moto each time.
