So here's my side of the coin. Not a small guy but not a lardo. 210 plus gear, heavy AV pack etc.
Also not good enough to do those pics above, on purpose anyway!
my ST gets around fine in the heavy wet snow I've ridden it in. BUT
After years of riding sleds in CO/away powder, I "think" I'd be a lot more of a stuck chuck with a st length machine there. You have less flotation and traction in light snow.
I also know I like hucking a short track sled more than a 150-160" machine, but I think a short track would limit me with my mediocre skills in real powder. Not unlike a sled, jmo.
