Fear mongering is common in both parties.:rolleyes:
Fear equals $$ and power.The Dems had to support it considering the political and world climate after 9-11. Otherwise it would have been certain political suicide.
It was bad intelligence under Bush's watch that convinced Congress to approve the war.

Quit trying to blame Dems. It happened under Bush's watch and both sides had everything to do with.

This bipartisn BS gets really old around here.

And now, you know why we have Obama. He wasn't in federal office at the time, so he couldn't have said anything, that could be thrown back at him.

Oh, and the senate/house failure to make any decisions about Iraq, since the war started, does not absolve them of responsibility. Failure to act, is an failure to lead. If there's blame to be cast, everyone, in the legislative and executive branch shares blame. But, like the old saying goes, the captain goes down with the ship. So, Bush can't escape blame.

On a side note, can you imagine what Sadaam might have done with all the oil revenue he could have had, if he were still running the country today. He'd have 100's of billions of dollars to fund his evil. Good riddance to that Hilter wannabe, the world is better off without him.

Fact: This is NOT a Bush war...every major leader of the Democratic party said Saddam is the biggest threat, he just happens to be the only one that did somethign about it...this is a war on terror, and war in iraq with al qaeda, and a proxy war with Iran...even Osama Bin Laden gets that and has said it...

Fact: Clintonites lamented how horrible it was that the 911 bombings didnt happen on their watch so CLinton could have been a president with profound impact...

Fact: there were known Weapons of Mass Destruction, biological and nuclear...anyone who tells you yellowcake uranium is not weapons grade, does not understand the impact of releasing yellowcake (powdery substance) into ventilation duct, over a stadium, etc. etc.

The truth is... if Iraq had no oil we would have no interest in that country at all.

I'm surely not going to waste my time trying to discredit what you are saying. I'm sure it would be easy enough to find some thing to counter every point you have made. But what would be the point? You would go find something to discredit what I had said and so it would go on and f'n on.

well, thanks to our Senate Democrats, we will not be seeing that oil, as they intervened and implored the Iraqi government to NOT award any contracts before they had a "Hydrocarbon law" in place...So we pass on our alignment with the greenies, and it costs us oil and infrastructure on the world marketplace...

Come on people wake up and put the blame where it belongs...in this case...these three democrat senators...oh and dont forget Obama is further to the left than these guys...

Senators Schumer, McCaskill, and Kerry

couple key quotes in case it is toolong to read for others...

"It is our fear that this action by the Iraqi government could further deepen political tensions in Iraq and put our service members in even great danger." For that reason, presumably, Schumer went so far as to ask the senior vice president of Exxon "if his company would agree to wait until the GOI produced a fair, equitable, and transparent hydrocarbon revenue sharing law before it signed any long-term agreement with the GOI." Exxon naturally refused, but Schumer managed to get the deal killed anyway. But the ostensible premise of the senators' objections was false--Iraq may not have a hydrocarbons law, but the central government has been sharing oil revenues equitably and there is no reason at all to imagine that signing the deals would have generated increased violence (and this was certainly not the view of American civilian and military officials on the ground in Iraq at the time). It is certain that killing the deals has delayed the maturation of Iraq's oil industry without producing the desired hydrocarbons legislation.

oh and I bet most have not heard that Barrack Obama asked the Iraqi Minister to hold off on Strategic framework discussions to end violence and work on troop transfer until AFTER the elections!!!! Yes, the Messiah conducting foreign policy and guiding foreign political leaders with ZERO standing in which to do so...me thinks he might have got himself in trouble on this one!!

Will be interesting to see how this gains momentum link <---
