My 2011 Pro has run great for me for the 700 or so miles I put on it last season.
I thought most of last seasons burn downs were related to oil line routing.

People who's sleds have burned down, tell us the cause and mileage at failure?Just trying to figure out if there is a common cause or weak link as in the 2008-2010 800's?

I did and didn't find specific info on burn downs.Maybe you saw my post on
Question 2011 RMK 155" Purchase Dilemma that no one responded to me on specific reasons for failure.

How many miles do you have on your Pro and have you had any problems treemagnet03?

Wyoboy2000 knows and so do a few that hung around Kremmling and Togwotee.

You're doing the right thing trying to find out everything to failsafe your purchase of a Pro. Then most of that will go out the window after the first two snows and you'll make an impluse buy. BTDT. :face-icon-small-ton

Oh, forgot, 631 miles on my Pro and no burndowns, hiccups, stutters, etc - one burned out EV gasket.

have 1200 hard miles on mine without issue but i do have first hand knowledge of one motor failure. it was due to an oil pump failure. motor was replaced under warranty. sorry i can't help out more. we just aren't seeing the failures that we did with the cfi-4 (although by 09 dragon ran great for 1200 miles before i sold it) but if there are any real motor issues i'm guessing we will see them start popping up this year now that more people will have more miles on them.

2011 Pro RMK 2500+ miles. No motor issues. (mine)
2011 Pro RMK 1500+ miles. No motor issues. (girlfriends)

Ordered 2 motor mount update kits. Started killing belts the end of last season. I think the culprit was worn out motor mounts. I have the Polaris alignment tool and statically they are great, under load I think they are twisting.

Pistons always looked good when cleaning exhaust valves. Motor always warmed up to 120 degrees before riding off in the morning AND AFTER ANY STUCK-- they cool down real quick, if you hammer the throttle as the temp drops quickly the metal expansion/ contraction can cause problems--the theory being this is a cause of some of the reported piston skirt failures. Both of ours have been cared for (while still being flogged) and have run great.
