There is a great post on here on the installation process. Having the right tools is crucial. For tools I would suggest
1. A small "body saw" basically a small reciprocating saw. Harbor freight has a good one, electric and air. If you go with an air powered saw, make sure your compressor has enough stank to run it.
2. A dremel with a multi cutting bit. This makes cutting out the small half round tabs on the template a breeze
3. An air riveter
4. Packing tape. Take your time and tape the heck out of the template so there is no room for it to move.
5. A round metal file for touching up any burrs and achieving a nice "professional" look when you are done.

I used the template as a guide, but it doesn't work to tape it to the sled. I made a straight edge with black tape right where the treads curved up, marked of the area to save for the tabs and made (very) short work of the old boards with a 4" cutting wheel on a DeWalt grinder. Hammered everything flat and dressed it up with a soft pad on the same. Slick as a whistle - the second one took about 35 minutes start to finish. Don't bother cutting out the "toes" on the rear suspension hanger.
