Bumper Kits?

I ride an 07m8 153 with a powerclaw that runs pretty good. I have committed to riding it for at least a couple more years. The question is are the bumper mods more bling or functional? Will removing that last 18 inches of running board really gain me anything?

Thanks,
Rob

Got the stock 2009 rear tunnel/bumper/flap and a BDX 2 wheel kit done on my 08 M8 and it made a BIG difference, just cut the flap a bit shorter. I was really happy with it. Functional!

I cut mine. Its hard to tell if its better but it makes sense. It seems to track better through the fluff. I used the 07 tail/ snow flap and just bought the 2010 bumper.

I'd go with the cat setup, easy to install, no judgement calls to make about how or where to cut, and it's STRONG. It is DEFINITELY functional, it's very noticeable in deeper snow. I think it might even be cheaper than the aftermarket companies too.

btw, AMP, those A arms are badass... but $970 for a set of a arms????:boom:

I did the complete Cat 09-10 setup on my wife's M6, but I did use the AMP billet gussets instead of modifying and using the Cat ones. It came out great, and made a huge improvement to her sled combined with the new 2010 Cat seat. Overall very impressed!

I also ordered the AMP monster guage cage and the tunnel rack for my '10 M8; Although AMP stuff can be pricey it is VERY good quality.
