Building adjustable ramp

Somewhere between too dumb to quit and flat earth
Ok I want to build an adjustable ramp. I want to build the frame of the ramp with hinges that I can weld a jack into the ramp so I can adjust the angle of it for different jumps. Has anyone ever seen anyone doing this? I am going to be building the ramp to practice tricks and possibly a back flip later in the year so I really need to be able to adjust the angle of it.

Also I want to do this on a budget. What is the cheapest way to build a ramp? Anyone want to donate a track?

lol thats true but i thought i would ask. Its nice to have a ramp becasue you can start small and then go big and all you have to do is have a hill to land on and be able to move the ramp.

last time i checked it out a used stationary freestyle ramp was $1500-1800.. dont know if that would be more or less compared to building an adjustable ramp..hmm

heck give me acess to a welder and ill make ya one, could figure something out, hardest part is the top level is all the same so it will get a little weird to hit once you jack the back up unless you got really crazy and made it hinge in a few spots..... make a picture of your idea somehow and post it up, id defintately be willing to help out on a project like that

depending on where you would put the hinges, you would end up with a sharp angle somewhere on the ramp. like previously said you would need multiple hinges to keep the curve of the ramp somewhat smooth. this would most likely require multiple jacks to adjust each hinge. im sure someone could do it but not very cost effective.

A local guy buit one for MX that had an upper flap that could be used or folded out of the way.
With the flap up it was kind of a super kicker, but not a perfect transition.
I have also seen in some demos where they simply jack up the back of the ramp.
That would be the easiest way to do it IMO.
Set it up so the entire thing is hinged and can be jacked up for a steeper aproach.
