Buff Pass - 01/12/09 (a few pics)

Headed up to Buff Pass today to check out the snow and was not disappointed. I would say that we were riding in 2 to 3 ft of powder most everywhere...the pics we snapped don't really do the snow depth justice. Here are a few from the day - not all that many action shots and a fair amount of "stucks", but we still had a great day.

Hey hope you guys save some for us...couple of flatlanders (wife and I) will be there Thursday-Saturday!!!! Staying in Walden @ NP Inn.....first trip out so we are ready!!!!!!!!

I'll try to save you some (haha), we were the only ones up there today other than one vehicle in the lot but there tracks took off toward hidden lakes. Paul we messed around for a couple hours getting up the lines, but it was defiantly worth it when we got to the top.

What did you think of that rig in the parking lot? We were out there the last 3 days. Was that your Dodge?

I talked to you back in Dec, I was looking for a room late one night. I had the Dodge and enclosed trailer, with the Polaris Dragon and RMK. I was out exploring different trails, & breaking in the Dragon in Dec.

The snow was awesome the last 3 days, we were riding with snow over the hoods all day. I'll get some pics up later. We rode all day Monday, packed up and headed home right after riding, just a short 1000 mile drive over night.

My user name is Chevyboy, but no that is my buddy's gray Dodge with the moosekiller bumpers on it (inside joke). I saw your rig around town looks like your cruising in style. We have a group of guys from MN that comes out in a blue school bus that they converted over to a sled hauler. On the top front is says DOO WEST, I thought that they maybe upgradded. Hopefully I can help you guys out if you get out here again. Dave

Buff - 1/10/09 - 1/12/09

Hey ChevyBoy, what I meant was, were you with the Dodge. Great pics. Monday was a good day to be on the mountain.

We had a great adventure. We rode Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We planned this trip just the week before and decided on Buff on the drive out. Checked the weather and went to the snow.

In my opinon you can never go wrong with Buff pass.
Looks like you guys had a blast, but that Doo in the tree looks a little odd though.

Yeah, that was a case of the sled bucking the rider off with a stuck throttle. Everything turned out OK, just knocked all the snow out of the tree. GOOD TIMES!! I'll stop in next time out.
