buddy tow?

Is there any way to rig one on the front of a snowmobile that has front end damaged. Like a ski torn off or tie rod broken or both skis flopping around. That is a problem we had a few weeks ago. Tough to tow with one ski turning sideways all the time especially in the deep soft snow we were in.

I would think you could cut a sapling and lash it between the ski loops to keep the skis pointed the correct direction.

I also carry some fuel filler hose for a pickup. It is about 2" ID so that I can run my tow rope between the tow sled rear bumper and the towed sled ski loop inside of the rubber tube. This acts as a "bumper" between the two sleds so they don't collide when slowing/stopping and it also has a better control on the steering. I have towed several sleds this way by myself only and it works great. I picked up a Buddy Tow to put on my sled so if need be, I should be able to pull something for a quite a distance now.

I keep a kids roll up sled that I bought for $10 in the truck. 2 bungee cords and it fits nice under a track and its also fun to sled down steep mountain sides on a roll up sled.

Here is the Buddy Tow in action, about 1:00 minutes in.

I have used the buddy tow 8-10 times pulling dead sleds in numerous situations including long trail rides as well as from the depths of no mans land in the mountains. This product is top notch, we do not ride with out one.
