BRV / Bralorne / Gold Bridge and area updates

Was up today, Hurley is in great shape. No one has been through Noel since the last time I was through about 2 weeks ago, so you better know the trail if you are going that way!

Team P.G. just got back from an epic tour of pemby/ bralorne area with the a-team. Punched trail up the ogre on the 28th then drove to gun lake area and had a blast up there. Best snow we found was up lone goat, little slim was good too. The area was getting rocked with snow when we left yesterday as I'm sure the whole corridor was. Everywhere had a substantial layer of surface hoar on top so watch for slides with this new pow.
Thanks to Ken(?) for clearing Brad's driveway for us and marking such a good trail up little slim. Braddles should have a care package ready for you from our crew.
Also special thanks to a-team leader for poaching my hash browns hope you enjoyed your breakfast

update for mid January

Our crew of 4 rode Friday / Saturday (January 15 / 16) ... why would anyone ride anywhere but the BRV? Big day Friday in the Cadwallader range... Saturday up the Noel .... at least 4 feet of fresh and sunshine!

Heading up next thursday from squamish for a stag watch out goldbridge squamish boys are on route

Accomodations in Goldgridge

If you want very nice log homes to rent in the Gold Bridge area you might want to try Morrow Chalets on Tyaughton Lake. I have been staying here for 18 years and cant say enough about it. They have log homes with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths. Rod and Sue McNeal are the greatest people and love snowmobilers. Check out their website at morrowchalets.com.

Ride into Bralorne?

Thinking of riding over to Bralorne next weekend. Not been up since before the Pineapple Express rolled through. Anybody been over recently? Is there still enough snow on the East Hurley and in Bralorne to ride in? Thanks.

AYUP, I rode over the Hurley (including East Hurley) Saturday Jan 23 and back Sunday the 24th. Offloaded at the main parking lot where the logging operation is (3-4KM from the bridge over the Lillooet river)... the main Hurley was in great shape and a fast ride. The East Hurley was pretty haggered... not that bad though and being 13KM its doable. You might want to call the Mineshaft Pub though.. Bruce is waiting on parts for his groomer and I think he's intending on grooming the E. Hurley.

The riding up there is amazing.. its high enough that the snow conditions are awesome. We've had a dozen awesome deep snow sunny days there since Christmas... last Saturday (Jan 23rd) was epic conditions.

Another way to access Bralorne is via Hope Creek and the Noel.. you can avoid the East Hurley this way and come into Bralorne from the south trail. If you haven't done it before I wouldn't recommend it... its not the most traveled route.

Thanks Ches. We're gonna suck it up and head over the Hurley, I don't know that way into Noel from Hope Creek. Spoke to Bruce, he's hoping to have the East Hurley groomed before the weekend....fingers crossed.

Noel access from Hope Creek

I've been in the Hope Creek area many times. However, I still do not know the way into Noel. Any pointers would be great. Thanks.

Bralorne grooming

The East Hurley is groomed and will be every thursday night compliments of the Mineshaft pub.:wine: the other access trails (noel ,lone goat etc) will be groomed as frequently as the donation jar at the pub gets enough money in it to make it possible. Thanks to all this weekend for helping to keep the trails flat.:face-icon-small-hap
