Broken motor mount-polaris denying warranty

So I got the mail yesterday and there was a $237 bill from my dealer. Called and salesman told me that polaris is trying to deny warranty on the motor mount that broke on my pro with less than 100 miles on it. He stated that polaris will not warranty because some of the parts were missing. WTF, where do they think the broken bolt and rubber piece will end up with the massive holes in the foot wells. Dealer said to hold on till he gets back from the dealer show, so he can work on it.

So, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this when half of their mount ends up out in the wilderness, or if I'm getting the runaround. And dammit I turned a free trip to vegas down for this week, I could have dealt with this in person.:face-icon-small-fro

Ha Ha himark, rub salt into the wound. I believe it was the broken motor mount that made the belt slip causing me to hit that tree.

That's an "over the top" ridiculous excuse from polaris. Sure the salesman isn't pulling an April's fools joke on you????? In march?

Something very fishy here. You got a bill in the mail before you went to pick up your sled?

Nope. Mount broke in the first few rides of the season, picked up the sled, in dec. and got a bill that stated, turned in for warranty. Then in the mail yesterday there was a bill for the repair. My salesman said this is the first he had heard of my bill when I not so politely called him last night and he would look into the problem

WOW> ALL I CAN THINK OF TO SAY IS WOW!!!!

I don't see how your dealer would expect you to pay for anything 3 months later after they told you it was warranty. if they can't get warranty then they should eat the bill.

not knowing the entire situation here...it sounds like a good 'ol "double dip" to me

I wouldn't talk to a "Salesman" ...I would talk to the service manager...If they don't have one....I wouldn't by a sled there.....sales are sales....can the Dealership back the product up???....I remember last spring...it was who was the lowest priced....I think we just found out...lol

Thats what sucks. I didn't purchase on price, I purchased from them because they had been treating several friends very well on everything they bought there over the years. Guess I was wrong.

I will vouge for this...I know Coyote could of pulled a better deal but he still went with them knowing he would get good service. I think you should remind them of that Coyote and put it just like this.

Hey Coyote:

Broken motor mounts are nothing new for Polaris - Gen 2, Edge, IQ's and now the Pro chassis. Cheap grade bolts. Your dealer is jacking you around. Get on their a** and tell them to handle it. If they don't, then park your rig in front of their store with a big sign that says "POO WARRANTY SUCKS".

Let us know how it turns out.

Oh, I'll let ya know and I am all over them about it. won't know more till next week. I got to thinking about the missing parts statement by them. When we were unloading our gear out of the pickup, after returning from our trip, the inside of the mount was laying in the bed of the truck we hauled the sled to our trailer in. So I am wondering if they need the parts for warranty, why did they leave the mount sitting on my sled somewhere where it could have ended up in a place that could have caused major damage? I'll have to check with the guy who owns the truck to see if its still there. I hope this is not how my 4 year warranty will continue, if so, it is worthless.

I call BS on this whole thing, I know for a fact that this is not how the warranty works. Your dealer has made a huge mess up some where, Polaris isn't even recalling the broken motor mounts so the only way they know of missing parts is the dealer told them. I'm not calling anyone out here but the dealer-Once again Polaris is getting dragged through the mud because a dealer is not doing something right. No Way Polaris would not cover a motor mount on a Pro-No Way.
